In using the ZT111 Label Printer, you will need to know how to both initially install a roll of labels as well as replace an empty roll. This step-by-step guide will lead you through that process to make sure that everything functions and calibrates properly.
Open the side media door on the printer
Open the printhead
Remove empty label core, if present
Place the new label roll onto the label rest, with labels feeding down from the top towards the front of the printer
Press the roll all the way against the printer
Press the yellow guide all the way against the label roll
Feed the labels down underneath the black paddle
Pull some slack from the roll, and guide the labels through the black sensor module and underneath the printhead by feeding them through the outside
The printer should look like this if fed through correctly
Looking in through the front of the printer, make sure that the labels are fed underneath the metal guide tab. *NOTE* Labels fed over this tab will print off-center to the left.
Adjust the metal feed guide on the right-hand side of the labels so that they are close, but not squeezing the labels (See photo in step 13 for location of guide adjustment)
Adjust the laser to be centered on a flat area on the label that represents the longest consistent length of the label (See label stuck to printer for proper positioning for each label type)

Close the printhead, making sure that you feel both the click and the "thunk". The latch should be completely vertical.
Press the Pause button on the front of the printer to unpause
Close the side media door
