6. How to Set Up your Printing Profiles

Updated this week

Printer profiles are a way of Jolt to instruct your printers on specific printer settings. Settings such as label darkness, print speed, label size, and other factors.

After initial setup of your JPS, you are required to name your device.

After you have named your device, you will now need to go into the Printer Settings menu to select your print profiles.

Printer Settings Menu

  1. Select the Labels menu in the left-pane of the screen

  2. In the Labels menu, select the three-dot-menu in the top right corner of the screen

  3. Select Printer Settings

You will see the printer settings menu displayed on screen. Here you will:

  • See your connected printers in the left pane of the screen. Each is indicated by their serial number.

  • You can scroll through this list to find each printer

  • You have the printer's current status, connection type, label size, and advanced menu.

Select your Printing Profile

  1. Select the label size menu

  2. Displayed on the left side of the screen will be the available label sizes. At the top of that screen you will see a dropdown for your printer profiles.

  3. Select the printer profiles dropdown menu

  4. Select your proper printing profile for this printer

  5. You will be prompted to RUN CALIBRATION - Before running that calibration step, please ensure that your labels are loaded properly as to avoid any jams or misprints

You will need to repeat these steps with all of the printers at this Jolt Print Station.

Without the proper profile selected, you may not be able to print the proper labels form the proper device.
